| NOTICE
Every torrent site I had my torrents uploaded to was taken down at one point. Everything will be getting a complete fresh re-upload, and the links will be updated for all of my threads. Be patient while I am doing this because it will be quite time consuming.
Chances are, if something is still grey, then I either plan on re-encoding it, I need to reupload it to a new torrent site, or I haven't got a thread made for it up yet. I am working on getting everything back up slowly but surely and eventually everything will get a re-upload asap. (Click The Image) (Click The Image) (I give much more frequent plan updates in the Discord server if you do not wish to miss any update)I have put an entire list of everything I have ever encoded (Except live footage, or Disney things) and put up for download into alphabetical order for your convenience so you don't have to go looking all around for my releases. I will be doing more than just the list below, this list is just some of the things I know I want to do for sure, and asap. ((( This is mostly to let you know what I intend on releasing in the future ))) This is not a promise of the order I will release things in!
Justice League
Teen Titans
Young Justice
Phantom 2040
Batman Beyond (1080p)
Trigun + Movie
Dragonball + Dragonball Z (Ocean + Funimation Dub) + Movies
Ranma 1/2
Digimon (Seasons 1-4)
Inuyasha (Complete Series) + Movies
Rurouni Kenshin (Seasons 1-3) + OVA's + Movie
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing
[Anything Still in Grey in the archive list above might get a re-encode]
[Anything in my plans to watch list on this site, I would like to encode one day as well] https://myanimelist.net/profile/DarkDream787 As you can see my future release plans are pretty swamped at the moment, so I probly wont be taking many requests for a while, until my plans list above gets a bit shorter. You are still free to ask and find out. The more interesting it sounds to me, and the shorter it is, the more likely you are to get a yes from me. If I do take your request, from the looks of it you may be waiting a short while, and without patience you might as well ask someone else or try it yourself. I am even willing to help you out a bit if you know how to use AVISynth or want to learn to encode yourself.
You can make requests in the request section of the forum, or my Discord server.
Requests of series with 13 or less episodes that wont take very long might be able to get more priority from me because they usually wouldn't take long to do.
A request of a movie that I have on DVD or Blu-Ray can easily be done in a day usually, so those I can still take with ease as long as I already happen to have it on DVD/Blu-Ray, or you have a workable source for me to fix up.
Requests for something so simple such as a series opening and closing or very short clip are also something I may accept and do asap because that's usually about an hour or two of work at the most and can be fitted in pretty easily.
If you want a 120+ episode series or franchise, and its not on my future plans list, then you are probably better off looking or asking elsewhere, unless your willing to wait a very long time for it.These are friends who either help host my content or have good content of their own in good quality as well. It's also friends that I trust, who assist me to get my encodes done quicker when I don't have the time to do something and I ask them to do it.
You can find both my content if they help host it and their content by following the links to them below or contacting them.Dr-Love55

| SUBTITLE NOTICE!
I may once in a blue moon forget to attach the font file in the MKV's with my Blu-Ray encodes for the .ASS subtitles. The attachment gives you the font file in the MKV for automatic use on playback. If I forgot to attach it, and it is not installed on your computer, it is possible the .ASS subtitles will not display as I created them, and will be displayed in another font your computer has installed.
The font used for my .ASS subtitles files can be found for download here. (I recommend installing it so they will display as intended either way)
https://mega.nz/#!toAyzbiC!-Eos0XIVJJ6WFmSjRZ06AKFSMhWDFL7L_akwGMiToFs
To install the font, just copy it to your "C:\Windows\Fonts" directory.

| Hey DarkDream,
Do you think there's any point in encoding in 10bit? |

- Hey DarkDream,
Do you think there's any point in encoding in 10bit? I cant say I know everything about 10bit encodes at this point in time, but from what I remember reading on Doom9 forums, few devices and programs will play 10 bit h.264 at the moment. I recommend you stick with 8 bit. Certain Blu-Ray sources may be better in 10-bit, and depends on the sources video. I will be reading more on this to get more knowledge on the matter. I don't see any point in taking an 8-bit video source and encoding it into 10-bit. It's not going to magically increase the video quality that way. That would be like saying taking a 128kbps MP3 and re-encoding it 320kbps is going to make it better quality. It doesnt work that way and your actually reducing the quality some by compressing it again, even if you used a higher bitrate. You cant take an 8-bit source, encode it to 10-bit and expect it to magically be better quality just because its been put into 10-bit. The fact is, the source was only 8-bit, and you compressed it by encoding it, so even if you compress and make it 10-bit, its not really going to be better or official 10-bit video. Your just going to get an encode with a slightly better compression allowing a little bit less file size at the same quality and if your lucky, a little less banding created by the compression if your source was prone to banding. - Quote :
- "Yes, you can get better compression efficiency (i.e. better quality at same bitrate) with 10-Bit, even when your source is "only" 8-Bit and the final output is 8-Bit too, simply because the encoder's and decoder's internal precision is higher (-> less rounding errors). On the other hand support for 10-Bit or even 12-Bit H.264 doesn't exist in any (consumer) playback device at the moment. Even software decoders are still very rare currently. So this is something you probably don't want to use yet. Also high-bitdepth H.264 will be significant slower to encode/decode. It was said that 8-Bit basically is a trade-off for speed.
At this point, the main limiting factor in using 10 bit h.264 is the lack of a free software decoder. Mainconcept sells a payware decoder, but it's $230 last I checked. http://www.mainconcept.com/products/...broadcast.html
x264 can certainly encode 10 bit video now, even as Lord_Mulder describes, even from an 8 bit source (and there are benefits in doing so). Even though much assembly optimization has been done for 10 bit encoding, I'd assume the code isn't quite as tight as the 8 bit path, so there will likely be a noticeable speed cost.
Still, nothing wrong with doing some experimenting. Just don't expect 10 bit encodes to actually play anywhere" It sounds to me like its only really good for more compression, but at the cost of compatibility with devices on playback. If its just for you and it plays back on the device or devices you want, then I guess you get slightly better compression which results in slightly better looking quality at the same file size and more power to you. It's not going to be a large quality increase though and more than likely barely visible unless resolution was raised way up. If your planning on putting it up for public download on the internet, I wouldn't bother from the sounds of it since alot of people might complain about playback not working. When 10-bit becomes supported by alot more devices in the future, then by all means I would encode into 10-bit if it compresses better at the same file sizes. You may not get a quality increase if the source was originally 8-bit, but you will get slightly better looking video at the same file sizes since it can compress better and have more bitrate for the video at the same file size. Good luck seeing the difference visibly though without screenshots and VERY thorough examining. | I did a comparison of both the audio and video for the old yugioh dvd sets and the new dvd sets.
The new ones are both superior in video and audio quality.
I was still thinking about whether or not I was going to redo yugioh in better quality since I could make it so much better looking now than I could 3 years ago from gained exp. Afterall yugioh was one of the first things I ever encoded. Its so popular, a reencode in better quality is well deserved.
Well seeing that the new sets are better in both video and audio, that just helped me make my decision even easier.
I will probly be redoing all the original yugioh series with these new sets after Pokemon is done.
With both a better source and better experience than I had 3 years ago, the new release will blow my original one away.
On a side note, Pokemon Season 4 should be done and ready for me to mux up + title each episode in about 8-10 days if all goes well. (Possibly earlier, MeGui estimation is sometimes longer than it needs) I had to use very slow filters to get them to look good. So they will take 4x as long as my usual encodes to finish.
I'll try my best to get it up no later than 11-12 days from now.

I dont know every single detail about it but from what I read I say this is about what I gathered from it. 1. 10-Bit has a wider range of colors so it can do more shades for things like gradients and shading. It has to have been recorded at or started off as 10-Bit though. If your using an 8-Bit source, your not going to be adding in and changing colors, it will still have 8-Bit colors. 2. 10-Bit compresses better. If you do an 8-bit file and then a 10-bit file and make them both 200MB, the 10-bit is going to look a tad bit better since it compresses better and can hold more kbps in the same size file as the 8-bit. It will not be a huge quality difference unless doing something like 4K material. Its like Divx vs h.264! the h.264 compresses better than divx so it will look better than divx at the same file size. Thing is, the difference is very visible between those 2 different encoder codecs, while with 8-Bit and 10-Bit it is not so visible unless the source was originally 10-Bit being degraded to 8-Bit. Blu-Rays are 8-Bit so your not getting 10-Bit. I honestly don't think encoding time would be any different, but then again I never did a 10 bit encode and don't plan to anytime soon so I couldn't really say for certain, I could only believe others or what I read. (Thats a question that can probly be answered in more ways on Doom9 Forum or Videohelp forum. They can probly fill you in on it better than me. Manono or Sanlyn are usually great helpers on there with lots of knowledge.)While all of that sounds nice, if the fact about it not being supported in hardly any player or device at all (as I pasted in quote above) is true, its not worth it to me.

| That's the only issue I've had with 10-bit.
I can play it fine on my laptop, but any other device I've tried it on (phone/PS3/360/etc)...not so much. MY Anime List!

| Okay well I'm batching my torrents together so instead of separate seasons and movies, their complete series sets and complete movies sets.
Once I get that all done, Ill make all new threads for my stuff and update the links in here.
I am re-encoding a few things but not all, only my favorites or more popular stuff. |

While all of that sounds nice, if the fact about it not being supported in hardly any player or device at all (as I pasted in quote above) is true, its not worth it to me. The difference is a larger color spectrum. With 10-bit there is more colors to use for the picture, which helps a lot with compression. You're less likely to create banding during encoding with 10-bit. Encoding times in 10-bit are much slower than 8-bit. It takes roughly 5x as long to encode in 10-bit. 10-bit encodes always require more CPU to decode and play properly. Most devices do not support it and never will. Devices will upgrade to 8-bit h265 when it becomes the standard; instead of 10-bit h264. h265 still has a lot of issues though and doesn't retain grain or detail as much and is even slower at encoding than 10-bit h264. No one should encode to it for anything other than testing for now. |

I will put it up after the Sword Art Online 720p upload I just put up yesterday has another day or two to seed a bit more at full speed.
Expect to see it up in 3 days max and possibly earlier. |

| I'm in a Yu-Gi-Oh! mood and I just finished encoding the entire series. Because I also want to see the uncut Japanese version of Yu-Gi-Oh! and so does my gf, I have decided that after my short break and my watching some of it with my gf that I will encode the Japanese version with English Subtitles.
I have the Uncut US DVD's and every single Japanese Duel Box. Then you will have the first few episodes Dual Audio from the Uncut US DVD's and the rest of the series all in Japanese with fansubs.
So that will be a project of mine quite soon.
I have also decided to re-encode the Swat Kats DVD's in better quality since not only is it a short series and wouldnt take long, but its one of my favorite childhood cartoons and deserves a better fixup from me than my old upload got.
The Pokemon stuff I been working on should be finished soon. I just need to finish up a couple more Blu-Ray movies. |
